I think the excitement of getting your last degree and all of us who got them know, or even when you pass high school, at the first paper you publish…whoa, whoa, whoa, someone is publishing my paper, you know. The twentieth one or the thirtieth one, oh, yeah, I’ve got another publication. So what, you know. Prizes are like that. I’m sure the first prize we must have been very excited. But I don’t remember—but the only one I remember is the Mendel and the Queen’s Medal because it was so funny. I mean, what have we got to do with the Queen.
May Brenner was married to Sydney Brenner from December 1952 until her death in January 2010. She was engaged in doing a Ph.D. in Psychology in London.
