James D. Watson - Jim Watson as a Young Man

Jim Watson as a Young Man

Watson was a unique and ambitious young man. He chose to study biology because of his love for bird watching, but soon realized that his true passion lied in learning about life through studying genes.

After receiving his college degree at the University of Chicago at the age of 19, he pursued his Ph.D. at the University of Indiana, which he completed when he was 22. By the time he turned 25 he had helped make one of the greatest discoveries of the century.
