The 13,135 square-foot Marks Laboratory fit into the tight hillside space blending with nature and complementing the nearby 1934 Urey Cottage. Its three units were painted in a colorful, modern, and muted deep sky blue, barn red, and meadow green. Gabled roofs and a copper entrance canopy complete the administrative, research, instructional, and mechanical wings.
