Construction of the Nancy and Edwin Marks Building began in 1998 and was completed before October 1999. The state-of-the-art brain imaging, research, and teaching laboratory was designed by Centerbrook Architects and constructed by E.W. Howell, Inc. builders. Being set into a steep hillside mandated expert excavation, shoring, and extensive utilities diversion.
