A mostly glass third floor was added above the flat roof of the original building. It houses offices, a seminar room, and a small library. The refurbished laboratories on the first and second floors were then dedicated to cancer and cell cycle research and gene sequencing. The building also has one of the most spectacular views of the Harbor.
