On May 3, 2000, the Samuel Freeman Building was dedicated. The ceremony included a tour of the building, a welcome address by Director Bruce Stillman, Ph.D., a commentary by Centerbrook architect Jim Childress, and remarks by President James D. Watson. It ended with dinner at the Airslie House.
