The Banbury Center, where the Meier House is located, was opened on Sunday, June 14, 1977, and the opening was attended by Francis Crick. He gave a talk on "How Scientists Work." The first Banbury meeting was held here in May 1978. The Center is on a 55-acre estate on the north shore of Long Island.
