In June 2000, the Laboratory dedicated the newly renovated Knight House. Named for CSHL Honorary Trustee Townsend J. Knight, the historic, two-story white structure is a beacon of the Cold Spring Harbor shoreline.

Townsend Knight, along with his family members, was on hand for the dedication ceremony.
