As mentioned in the 1999 Annual report, CSHL was the recipient of two $50,000 gifts toward the renovation of the Watson School of Biological Sciences students' residence, the Knight House. The gifts were from David H. Deming and Henry U. Harris.

The interior contains six bedrooms, a living area, a television room, a kitchen, and laundry facilities.
