The Cairns Laboratory was reconstructed in 2013. The completion of the Hershey Building in 2012 allowed for the relocation of microscopy resources and renovation of the Cairns Laboratory. The roof was raised for improved ventilation systems and the building’s infrastructure was brought up to modern laboratory standards. The building also houses an RNAi Shared Research Resource facility.
