2004, The Library

Today the Carnegie Library is home to the CSHL Library and Archives and the library and archives staff.

The library collection consists largely of journals and books. An increasing number of library materials, resources, and services are now available online, as are many archival materials and exhibits.

Included in the archives are the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory's institutional records, and the archives of James D. Watson, Barbara McClintock, Alfred Hershey and others.

The Carnegie Building is also the home of many digital archival projects including Building Blocks of CSHL, the Oral History Collection, the Memory Board and the Symposia Website.
