In the 2016 Banbury Center Annual Report, Director Jan Witowski wrote, "...time has come for me to step down and I am delighted to introduce Rebecca Leshan who will be taking over from me."

During 2017, the Banbury administration’s year of transition, 536 participants from 28 different countries took part in the activities at Banbury.
