This late Victorian abode sported the emblematic porte cochère (carport), an elegant wrap-around porch, interestingly shaped windows featuring small, colored panes of glass around the edges of the sashes, and an asymmetrical layout. Clapboard and shingle sheathing, some plain, some painted, and some with novelty cuts, drape the facade. When purchased, the house had recently been painted white, but as seen in this photo, it was subsequently painted with a researched, historically accurate color scheme of greenish gold.
