Carol Greider was appointed chair of a faculty committee to explore the need or desire for an on-campus sports facility. Instead, the strong desire for a child-care facility was unearthed. Next, another committee chaired by Cheryl Sinclair, then director of Human Resources, recommended the seasoned Rainbow Chimes, Inc to manage the flexible and forward-looking services for up to 50 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
