The Wendt Laboratory and Donald E. Axinn Laboratory buildings were built to support researchers studying the neurobiological roots of mental illness. Both facilities opened in 2009. The Wendt Family Laboratory also houses research on neurodevelopment and the wiring of complex circuits in the brain.
