Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives in Biology
Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives in Biology is a monthly online publication comprising reviews spanning the complete spectrum of the molecular life sciences. Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives in Biology provides the life sciences community with authoritative analyses of progress in emerging areas of molecular, cell, and developmental biology, genetics, evolutionary biology, neuroscience, cancer biology, and molecular pathology. The contributions are written by leading researchers in each field and commissioned as Subject Collections by a board of eminent academic editors, all of whom are acknowledged to be key figures in their particular fields. These Subject Collections gradually accumulate articles as new issues of the journal are published and, when complete, each represents a comprehensive survey of the field it covers. Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives in Biology is thus unmatched in its depth of coverage and represents an essential source where readers can find informed surveys and critical discussion of advances in the molecular life sciences. |

Current Biology
Current Biology publishes papers reporting findings in any area of biology that have sufficient claim to be of general interest – this could be, for example, because the advance is important for a specific field, or because it is intrinsically of wide interest to biologists generally. We have several formats for publishing original research – see below for details. |
|
Current Opinion in Cell Biology
Current Opinion in Cell Biology aims to stimulate scientifically grounded, interdisciplinary, multi-scale debate and exchange of ideas. It contains polished, concise and timely reviews and opinions, with particular emphasis on those articles published in the past two years. In addition to describing recent trends, the authors are encouraged to give their subjective opinion of the topics discussed.
In Current Opinion in Cell Biology we help the reader by providing in a systematic manner:
1. The views of experts on current advances in their field in a clear and readable form. 2. Evaluations of the most interesting papers, annotated by experts, from the great wealth of original publications
Current Opinion in Cell Biology will serve as an invaluable source of information for researchers, lecturers, teachers, professionals, policy makers and students.
Division of the subject into sections
The subject of Cell Biology is divided into seven themed sections, each of which is reviewed once a year.
• Cell structure and dynamics • Cell regulation • Nucleus and gene expression • Membranes and organelles • Cell-to-cell contact and extracellular matrix • Cell differentiation • Cell division, growth and death |
|
Current Opinion in Genetics & Development
Current Opinion in Genetics and Development aims to stimulate scientifically grounded, interdisciplinary, multi-scale debate and exchange of ideas. It contains polished, concise and timely reviews and opinions, with particular emphasis on those articles published in the past two years. In addition to describing recent trends, the authors are encouraged to give their subjective opinion of the topics discussed.
The subject of Genetics and Development is divided into six themed sections, each of which is reviewed once a year.
• Genetic and cellular mechanisms of oncogenesis • Chromosomes, genomes and expression mechanisms • Molecular and genetic bases of disease • Developmental mechanisms, patterning and evolution • Differentiation and gene regulation • Genetics of system biology |
|
Development
Development is a leading primary research journal in the field of developmental biology that is published by The Company of Biologists, a not-for-profit charitable organization run by biologists for the benefit of the biological community. From its initial launch in 1953 as the Journal of Embryology and Experimental Morphology to the present day, Development continues to publish cutting-edge research articles across the spectrum of plant and animal development, covering topics ranging from stem cells and nuclear reprogramming, to evolutionary developmental and systems biology, from neurobiology to regional specification, morphogenesis and organogenesis, and from epigenetics to the aetiology of disease. |
|
Developmental Cell
Developmental Cell is a broad-spectrum journal that covers the fields of cell biology and developmental biology. It publishes research reports describing novel results of unusual significance in all areas of these two fields, and at the interface between them. Each issue also contains review articles tailored to the journal's broad readership. With this wide coverage, Developmental Cell is a unique cross-disciplinary resource for researchers in both these fields, and for the general scientific community.
Developmental Cell will consider papers in any area of cell biology and developmental biology. Examples of these include cell proliferation, intracellular targeting, cell polarity, membrane traffic, cell migration, stem cell biology, morphogenesis, developmental roles of genes or pathways, and differentiation. The primary criterion for publication in Developmental Cell, as for all Cell Press journals, is new biological insight. We are happy to consider any study that leads to important new conclusions about biological function. |
