In 1975 the Jones Building was remodeled to house a new neuroscience laboratory. The wooden cubicles were replaced with aluminum ones and an additional wing was added to allow for a refrigerated storage area. The renovation of the Jones Building won a coveted Honor Award for Continued Use from the American Institute of Architects in 1981.
